About the role

This role will be accountable for the management and development of our diverse supply chain that will be truly effective, competitive, and reliable. There will be a focus for sourcing new suppliers and subcontractors where required to resource projects in new geographical areas.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing online supply chain portal, checking insurances, certification, and induction training for subcontractors
  • Working with our HR/Recruitment department to identify skills gaps within the supply chain
  • Responding to supply chain queries and assisting with auditing supply chain
  • Focus on Pre-bid supply chain engagement.
About you

As our new Supply Chain Co-Ordinator, you will have a clear understanding of supply chain philosophies and their use within the construction or environmental sector. Being able to thrive in a fast based environment, while showing a clear ambition to help the company succeed moving forward.

You will also have the ability to successfully work to and within deadlines, whilst showing a willingness to learn and develop your current skill set.

What qualifications and experience do you need?
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working effectively and proactively with supply chain co-ordination
  • Good relationship building and external networking capabilities in addition to presentation skills, confidence in conversing / challenging key stakeholders
  • Team player
  • Customer focused
  • Continuous improvement mind-set
  • A level or equivalent qualification preferred
  • IT literate
  • General knowledge of market costs and sub-contractors
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle will also be essential for this position.

Overview:

  • Job type: Permanent
  • Start date: February/March 2022
  • Salary: £22-25K depending on experience
  • Location: The role will be home based with travel to site, client meetings and management meetings as needed.
