About the role

This is an entry-level position for a recent graduate with a real interest in pursuing a career in business operations.

We are looking for a motivated, committed individual to join our small team, supporting and enabling the rest of the business to deliver our vision of a better future.

Supporting the Business Operations Manager and Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Officer, you will play a key role in supporting day to day operational and business tasks, ensuring quality throughout all working practices within the business. You will have lots of exposure to the different areas of our business, liaising with all levels of employees in your work.

Some of your key tasks will include:

  • Assisting the Operations Manager and QSHE Officer with implementing and monitoring best practice business management principles and compliance, including Health & Safety compliance
  • Co-ordinating the procurement process
  • Arranging and co-ordinating company meetings
  • Maintaining document and template libraries
  • Researching and implementing new processes
  • Producing draft procedures
  • Managing and maintaining company inventories
  • Assisting with company IT requirements

This is primarily an administrative role; however you will have the opportunity to learn and gain valuable professional development through exposure to a range of interesting work, shadowing senior staff and being accountable for your own projects. You will also be given the chance to join our Emerging Leaders Team, an exciting new initiative run by our CEO.

About you

We will help you develop your skills and abilities throughout your internship; however, the successful candidate must possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and a growth mindset. You won’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done or work collaboratively with other teams and people as needed.

You will also be well organised, adaptable, and demonstrate good attention to detail. A resilient nature, as well as a flair for innovation and creativity of ideas, would also be well regarded. You will also be able to multitask and be comfortable asking questions.

A degree in Business administration, or other people or business-related subject is preferred. Prior administration experience would be desirable but not essential.

Location: Home-based – travel to site when requested

Start Date: January 2022

Salary: £18,000 – along with a structured programme of mentoring and learning about business operations, compliance, and other areas relevant to your role.
