About the role

We are looking for a proactive, driven individual to join us as our HR Assistant. Working for our Head of HR, you will provide professional HR support to the HR team and the wider organisation to aid us in achieving our organisational goals.

This is a great role for someone at the beginning of their career who is passionate about HR and growing their capability. You will receive excellent coaching and development from our Head of HR and a commitment to helping you be the best you can be.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Being the first point of contact for employee queries
  • Providing basic advice and guidance to employees
  • Maintaining and updating our employee database
  • Providing HR and Recruitment administration support from advertisement, selection, induction, and onboarding through to development and termination
  • Assisting with the monthly payroll and amendments
  • Looking for opportunities for process improvement and development
  • Supporting development and implementation of our people strategy
  • Assisting with our internship programme
  • Involvement in HR related projects.
About you

The successful candidate will ultimately possess a growth mindset and a desire to learn. You will ideally have some prior experience of working within HR and an HR or business-related degree. Alternatively, you might have a degree and some prior administration experience with a knowledge of HR processes to help you hit the ground running.

This is a busy role with lots to learn, so you’ll need to be resilient and able to ask questions to get the best outcomes. You’ll also need to be able to take a pragmatic approach and show a real desire to solve problems.

In addition, you will need to:

  • Demonstrate great organisational skills
  • Show attention to detail
  • Be able to work independently
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Maintain confidentiality in all that you do.

It would be useful if you had a full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle for this role for travel to team and other meetings as needed.

More information

  • Job type: Permanent, full time
  • Start date: January 2022
  • Salary: £21,000 to £25,000
  • Location: The role will be home based with travel to site, and meetings as needed.
