About the role

This role will be accountable for managing all operational processes, workflows, and procedures within the business to ensure the delivery of optimal productivity, performance, and quality.

You will:

  • Work as part of, and in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to assume responsibility for the overall delivery and management of efficient Health & Safety, IT, ISO quality and Environmental Management systems
  • In consultation with the SLT review, set and implement objectives for continual improvement in the above-mentioned operational systems
  • Work alongside the SLT to develop long-term operational strategies to meet company objectives and provide proactive leadership on all matters relating to health and safety
  • Be an integral part of the strategic goal setting process and effectively lead the efficient development and implementation of systems and ensure agreed outcomes and goals are met on time and to budget
  • Oversee and manage operations at multiple locations
About you

As our new Head of Operations, you will have a mindset of continuous improvement and will need to be able to demonstrate that you are proactive and flexible and have an eye for quality and detail.

Being outcome focussed is essential, as is having a safety-focussed and practical background in Health & Safety. The provision of advice and guidance on all health and safety matters is a key deliverable.

What qualifications & experience do you need?

  • Five to ten years working at a senior management level in Operations
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and or Construction Certificate (advantageous) and experience of working at a senior level in health and safety
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels including written, verbal, and strong presentation skills
  • Strong people-centric leader with a proven track record of running an operationally solid, fast-growing business
  • Strong decision making, action planning and prioritisation skills
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
